MODELS AND TOOLS FOR THE SERIOUS GAMES DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
2018 – 2019
In this project we focus our research on the models and tools for the development of Serious Game. A Serious Game is a type of video game where the objective transcends the mere entertainment and seeks to incorporate new knowledge in the player. The effectiveness of the Serious Game lies in its level of visual, sonorous and emotional immersion within the user and in their constant interactivity. Although Serious Games can contribute to training in multiple areas such as advocacy, health, education or politics, a barrier to successful adoption is the difficulty of measuring learning outcomes through use. In particular, the integration of Learning Analytics into SG design offers new opportunities to track and analyze student behavioral data based on individual or group interaction and to interpret the learning process. Having a model for the SG Elicitation Process will contribute to the dissemination of good practices in an expanding sector and will allow the opening of lines of research in search of techniques and development processes in domains where multidisciplinary work is fundamental.

TECHNOLOGY ENRICHED LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
2018 – 2019
The project addresses the characteristics and implications of the inclusion of information and communication technologies (TICs) in learning environments.
These new environments constitute a context that requires a process of pedagogical intervention defined by spaces, social organization, interactive relationships, a way of distributing time and a certain use of resources, where the educational processes are developed as closely integrated elements in a system from the technological mediation (Pérez and Telleria, 2012).
From the reality of these experiences, the contribution of this research is centered in offering a framework for interpretation of the aspects of greater incidence, particularly the processes of interaction that arise in these new educational scenarios, since the inclusion of TICs had changed deep in the ways of organizing, structuring and consulting educational content. New problems and didactic challenges are posed that can be solved with new strategies to cope with the changing demands of the global environment and the student-centered emphasis on learning to be assumed with greater commitment, in a participatory and active way, its process of training.

TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION IN LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS : DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT
2016 – 2017
The project approach the issue of the inclusion of Information and Communication Technology(ICT) in learning environments from an innovative vision.
In developing countries it is seen the university as a key player for the development of potential, resources and values for society itself.
Today technology develops innovative ways to reach as most people calling them “emerging technologies”. Ramírez (2014) called new disruptive technologies and science-based innovation with the ability to create a new industry or transform an existing one.
Particularly the “Open Educational Resources” (OER) represent a variety of digital content, including full courses, textbooks, videos, tests, simulations, games and other forms of transmission of knowledge in digital format.
In this scenario and look at our educational context it is that this project focuses on learning environments that include emerging technologies and production, diffusion and preservation of OER to encourage the development of vocational skills. The aim is to investigate innovative spaces of interaction models representing information content management and learning environments.

OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES AND MANAGEMENT INTERVENTIONS, DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION
2014 – 2015
Competence-based education is a new way of dealing with the processes of teaching and learning, of building learning objects, creating relationships between the actors of the process, the program, and, in general, of impacting the entire system (Correa Zabala, 2008).
From this viewpoint, we agree with Herrera and Didriksson (1999), Cohen et. al. (2004), and Johnson et. al (2013), among others, in that these “new learning environments” can be enhanced by incorporating Information and communications technology (ICT) to support competency development.
Particularly, engineering programs in Argentina are often characterized by a decreasing number of enrolled students, a small number of graduates, a slowing down of students’ progress and a high dropout rate in the first semester (Garcia et. al, 2011;. Massa et. al. 2010; 2011; 2012).
In this context, the aim of this project is to enrich a classified and indexed heritage of Open Educational Resources in Engineering in the field of educational innovation. This in collaboration with faculty members and secondary and university education researchers in order to support the improvement of classroom and distance education processes, to achieve teaching professional development, reduce educational backwardness and the digital gap by means of more equitable access to educational resources.
